Son 8:7 Many waters cannot quench
love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance
of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
There are things in life that are inevitable; I am powerless to control them. The
Sun will rise and set, the tide will come in and go out, the seasons will change, the birds will fly South for the winter
and return in the spring, and the caterpillar will transform itself into a beautiful butterfly. Somehow, I feel reassured
by this because many other things in life are so transient - so momentary.
Lydia, from the moment we met, I knew that
our friendship would develop though taking off so fast & volcanically, into something lasting and precious, just as I
am sure that the caterpillar will one day become a beautiful butterfly.
I have lived for a long time responsible for
& dependent upon no one, answering to no one and committed to no one except myself. During this period of my life, I considered
the World mine for the taking and truly believed that I was living life to the fullest.
Then, I had my motorcycle
accident and except for God and a few meaningless and loveless relationships, you came into the picture, and all of a sudden,
I realized that I was deceiving myself.
Sweetheart, I am an incomplete man in need of wholeness. I find that my life
is not all that I thought it was. In fact, it is terribly lacking in many things, the foremost being love. Now, through some
great fortune, I have found that love and along with it the one person who can make my life truly complete.
Lydia,
you are that person, and as you are well aware, in such a brief time, I have somehow fallen hopelessly and undeniably in love
with you. To be honest, I never thought I would ever utter those words, but now, they come forth effortlessly and with great
sincerity. I'll be forever grateful to you for showing me just how shallow my life was. At last, I have a chance to give it
depth and purpose with not just God as my Master, but you as my soul-mate.
Dearest, I believe that our love is blessed
& ordained by God. It is a union of two spirits destined for everlasting happiness. Thus, you have truly become the star
of my life which brings me light in this dark world, and warmth when I need it. You offer me the promise of renewal, the joy
of living, the peace of mind that comes from sharing and caring, and that shoulder to lean on in times of stress. You are
my precious butterfly, and I will cherish you and love you forever.
Just as a poet needs inspiration to write a masterpiece
I
need you ...
Just as an artist needs a subject for his work of art,
I need you ...
Just as a teacher
needs a pupil to mold into greatness,
I need you ...
Just as a composer needs a theme to create a timeless melody,
I
need you ...
For without you, Lydia, my life would be empty of all inspiration. There will be no work of art for me
to gaze at; no person of greatness before me; no timeless melody to listen to. My life will exist in shades of gray instead
of vibrant colors, and I will be less than whole.
Before you, my innermost feelings have been kept locked away in the
depths of my heart. No more - for through this letter, I proclaim to you, Lydia, my undying love and eternal devotion.
It
is very important for me to express to you how much you really mean to me. I wish I could do this in person while holding
you in my arms and gazing into your eyes. But since we are physically separated by miles of emptiness, this expression must
come in the form of letters such as this.
Sweetheart, I know it is difficult for you, as it is for me, to be separated
even for only a mater of a few short months. Life seems to be full of trials of this type which test our inner strength, and
more importantly, our devotion and love for one another. After all, it is said that "True Love" is boundless and immeasurable
and overcomes all forms of adversity. In truth, if it is genuine, it will grow stronger with each assault upon its existence.
Darling
Lydia, our love has been assaulted many times, and I am convinced that it is true because the longer I am away from you, the
greater is my yearning to be with you again. You are my enchanted Princess, and I am your devoted Prince. I cherish any thought
of you, prize any memory of you that rises from the depths of my mind, and live for the day when our physical separation will
no longer be.
I wanted to tell you this in person, but I knew that the proper words would escape me. Until that moment
arrives, I send to you across the miles, my tender love, my warm embrace, and my most passionate kiss.
I Love You
You're
kissable and cuddly;
You're lovable and sweet;
You thrill me every minute,
And sweep me off my feet.
You're
charming and disarming,
Desirable and true.
You inspire and impress me,
And that's why I love you!
And My summation of you is in Prov 31
A Virtuous Woman
What is a virtuous woman? A description you seek.
She's a woman, designed by God, mild mannered and meek.
A woman whose children arise and call blessed,
who welcomes all strangers and treats them as guests.
A woman who plans for her household by night,
then trusts in the Lord with all of her might.
A woman who cares for her home and family,
who refrains from gossip and speaking idly.
Her husband, well known, within the city's gate,
publicly, praises God for his godly mate.
She's a blessing to all and in all her ways,
plants her trust in the Lord, Whose Voice she obeys.
She teaches her children God's laws and commands,
and daily entrusts them into His strong, loving hands.
"What is a 'virtuous woman', you ask"?
She's a God fearing woman who's
been blessed with a task.
[Proverbs 31:1-31]
